Our Services

Services at Regional Development Australia Far North (RDAFN) are delivered in three streams:

Economic Development

RDAFN is committed to the continuous economic development of the Far North region. Through the Economic Development Stream RDAFN supports development and attraction of new enterprises to the region, assists the growth of strong and viable businesses and skills to support the resources sector, identifies innovative ways of increasing activity, support and delivers a viable and robust emerging industry sector, addresses infrastructure gaps and works towards  attracting new business investment to grow the economy of the region.

Business Development

RDAFN plays an important role in fostering business attraction, commencement, growth and retention in the Far North region. A healthy, vibrant and well informed business sector contributes to strong economic development, employment growth and economically sustainable communities.

RDAFN's most visible activity across the region is the provision of dedicated one-on-one business advisory services to support the sustainability and growth of small and medium enterprises.

Skills & Workforce Development

RDAFN facilitates two meetings: Employment Projects and Services Network and Industry Leaders Group, a mechanism that ensures DSD policy delivery is focussed on the social economic needs of the region and strengthens the capacity of local communities to determine and respond to works and learning needs. The network is made up of local government, local business, industry, training providers and Job Services Australia representatives and is charged with implementing the Far North Region Action Plan.
